At Cross Church the central message that is taught and preached is the work that Christ accomplished on the Cross. The Cross is the symbol of the Christian faith and of the Christian Church because it is the death of of Christ is the central point of history. Our church strives to preach the Cross of Christ simply, but accurately.
"For Christ didn't send me to baptize, but to preach the Good News--and not with clever speech, for fear that the cross of Christ would lose its power. The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed to destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God."
(1 Corinthians 1:17-18)
At Cross Church we believe that it is God's plan and purpose for all people to worship him together regardless of nationality, ethnicity, language, or economic standing. We live in the tension of the right now, but not yet. Christ has accomplished His work on the Cross, but we are still waiting for Him to return. In this present age, the Church shows the world God's love by loving one another.
"All the nations you made will come and bow before you, Lord; they will praise your holy name."
"This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way that I have loved you"
At Cross Church we are interested in proclaiming the truth of the Bible. Many of the truths found in the Bible go against the current of today’s culture.
“If the world hates you remember that it hated me first. The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer a part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world so it hates you.”
“When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, ‘Who do people say that the son of man is?’ ‘Well’ they replied, ‘some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.’ Then he asked them, 'But who do you say I am?’”
We believe that each person must answer this question. At Cross Church we believe that we are responsible to accurately share the message of Christ, so that they can make an informed decision at their Crossroads.
